This is an easy trade, and there are days when both make money.
While looking at the daily and weekly charts gives us a solid overview — it’s these surprise time frames nobody looks at that often show the best current signal shaping up.
The bounce in crude had nothing to do with risk appetite (stocks sold off) and nothing to do with inventories (the drawdowns were shrugged off). The Senate voting to get the U.S. out of Yemen did trigger a reaction: Saudis will export less crude to the U.S. starting January.
