When the markets are extended like this, here is how to play it.
In late December I started to ask if 2020 was the year to sell Gold, wanting to see 2019 highs taken out first. Now they have been and I’m looking at whether a multi-year high might be in place.
My primary trading focus remains looking for spots to short Gold. I still see several scenarios which could unfold, so we need to look for a few different ways to get in.
With January expiration now behind us let’s review what did and what didn’t work along with a full list of fresh tickers and the plan for next week.
