A Top Down Approach
These two ETFs are suggesting a big move is getting ready to take shape. I make a few assumptions in this analysis, but if they end up being right, this will be the stock to own.

With Apple earnings on Tuesday as well as the last trading day of the month, the fact that the ES and NQ are sitting at correction levels gets my attention. Here’s what I see…
It ain’t a sexy topic to most, but it is to any trader who wants a career that spans decades. Experience has taught me that it’s “those” days where the levels don’t hold, the bounces don’t come, and the patterns get ignored that we need to know how and when to cut a trade loose. Also, I share my favorite site for tracking earnings, and what I see in Apple and the index futures.
Facebook, Google, and Amazon all reported earnings this week, with completely different results. Danielle discusses how they impacted the market, and what to look for next week. The market is extended to the upside, and as such, she outlines some pullback zones. She also discusses possible trades to watch in the coming week.
Henry and Danielle discuss a short play in both XLF and JPM. While bank stocks were strong today, they are headed directly into resistance and they have reason to think they will fail from these levels. Check out the video for a couple ideas on how to trade it.
I love reaction trades, especially during earnings season. Earnings in heavily weighted names trigger nearly a sure-fire volatility move. And when you know how to project those ranges from the volatility, you can find entries like today in the NQ futures.
Today’s reaction to the weakness FB triggered and the anticipation of AMZN earnings offered some excellent volatility that we covered live…3 for 4 on setups by 10:30 AM and 3 for 3 on the triggers. I love days like that, and in this video, I walk you through some of the finer points including how to use Propulsion Dots to take momentum entries.
I’m generally focused on trading with the trend, but tonight we review one chart that I’m willing to step in against then another where I am going with the flow, and looking for one more pop higher before earnings.
